Conducted Prevention of Malnutrition Blindness in children under 5 years of age treating Xerophthalmia, Malnourishment, Bitot Spots in 5 lac population under aegis of Royal Common Wealth Society for the Blind.

Helping Polio afflicted orthopeadicly handicapped patients by performing extensive surgeries to straighten limbs & Provide them with aids to improve their physical mobility & restore their dignity.
National Programme for Control of Blindness the hospital has been in the forefront in the field of Prevention of Blindness. About 8000 free cataract Surgeries are performed per year. About  4,59,486 cataract patients have been operated & 21,69,432 patients treated till 2005. About 2000 eye camps performed in rural areas in which 1,12,342 cataract operations have been performed.
National Programme for Maternal and Child Health The Hospital has worked on a project to ensure safe delivery in villages & reduce maternal and child mortality by trainings. Traditional Birth Attendants in each village in safe delivery procedure. About three thousand (3000), TBA's (Dais) have been trained till date. This project has been sponsored by SIFPSA  & USAID
National Programme for Tuberculosis Control The Hospital is a recognised center for testing and treatment (DOT) for Tuberculosis covering a population of 5 lacs
Screening for Cancer Cervix
Screened 5 lac women for Cancer Cervix & performed 18000 Pap
Smear tests under a project sponsored by WHO & Global Cancer Concern

Today, Dr. Jawaharlal Rohatagi is more than an eye hospital. It is a social organisation committed to the goal of eradication of needless morbidity Blindness & promotion of Health through comprehensive medical care services & participation in National Programmes.

A Training centre for ophthalmic professionals and trainees who come from within UP to learn, to update their skills and to acquire new ones for the last 20 years.

An institute for research that contributes to the development of eye care & Alternative Medicine.
Facilities for Yoga Reiki, Prannic Healing and Physiotherapy are available.
